The day has come I am the mother of school age children. I could not wait for that day and now I am sad. I miss them terribly. So I have resorted to a count down to when they will be home. 5 hours in case you were wondering.
The day did not start so well because Jackson did not want to get out of bed. It was because he did not want to leave mommy. But after getting him up and dressed it seemed like it was going to be OK. He let me get a few pictures before he boarded the bus and said bye. I met the bus at school and took more pictures. Then he lined up with his class and off he went to start his first day as a big Kindergartner.
It amazes me how fast the time goes by. It was not that long ago I was holding that little boy in my arms and now he is walking all by himself to his kindergarten class. Have I mentioned yet I miss him. I miss Maddi too but I kinda got use to her being gone last year and it being Jackson and me. But now it is just me.
Here are a few pictures from today and last Friday (Maddi's first day of school)
