So today starts like any normal day. Maddi gets up with the chickens. Well not actually chickens but the people next door. They get up way to early to let their dog out to bark. The dog barking is heard loud and clear in her room. But every day I wake up to Maddi. The is no better alarm clock.
Well, today was a fun day. We have been saying all week we are going to the purple sand park. Today is the first day that we could make it. It is always fun to squish purple sand between your toes. The one perk to going to the purple sand park is there are baseball diamonds. Jackson who LOVES baseball has been asking to go play on the dirt. So we thought why not. So we played in the sand and ran around the park. Then it was time to go the ball field. So it's Jackson turn to hit. He swings the bat, it's a hit. He takes off running. So Mike and I pretend that we are trying to tag him. He runs all the way around and makes it to home plate. It is time for the big play at home. Well Jackson has to slide. Is there any other way to cross home plate? We had a wonderful time playing baseball on the dirt. Except we brought a good deal of the dirt home with us. Good thing a little dirt don't hurt.
If everyone will say a quick prayer for us tomorrow. Maddi has her first day of school. I will let everyone know how it goes.

I hope Maddi has a great day at school today! How long is her day? Don't worry about her--I'm sure there are way more butterflies in YOUR stomach than in hers!
