So today was the big day. We did it!! The day started off like this, us getting up and rushing around to get out of the house. You see I don't get up till I have to. It was not a problem when it is just me but now I kids. One who does not know how to hurry. She slows down when you say hurry up. Well back to the day. We finally get out of the house and picked up my mom. We headed to the Columbus convention center. When we get there I have to get Maddi rest of the way dressed. Again I am trying to get the girl the hurry. After getting dressed and meeting up with our team again it is time for the team to practice. But you see the practice area is off limits to parents. Coaches only, what do you mean. You see Mike is the sign guy for the team and got to go into the practice area. Me the over protective mom I am started to cry. Yes, I cried I know everyone thought I was weird but it is just me. So after saw that she was OK, I decided to sit a watch the other teams. So after about an hour it was time for the special needs team to take the floor. It was a bit of a blur because of all the people. We were the second team of three. But our kids went out there had a great time. Well, Maddi did after she saw that Mam and Aunt Brookie were right there watching. When she took the floor she was crying, just like here mom. What can I say. So after their routine each star was handed a candy cane and a big trophy. After we waded through the thick crowd each kid got a stuffed animal from Tyler and a star bear from Adrianna. I think it all made Maddi feel a whole lot better. Everyone did great!!! January 26Th is her next one. I will keep you posted. I am off for now.
I forgot to tell you one last thing. Brookie, Brady, and Mallory came and watched. Mallory was so good and loved the whole thing. She even came dressed to cheer Maddi on. She looked so cute!!
