Lion and tiger and lights, oh my

So last night we decided to go to the winter lights at the zoo. You see it was very warm. I really don't like going when it is very cold because you have to bundle everyone one up. As soon as you get there and start to walk around someone has to go the bathroom. You have to peal off all their layer and then put them all back on. Not my idea of fun. So after I woke up an realizes it was so warm I jump on the opportunity. We also got 4 free tickets. So, why not.



We picked Mike up from work and headed to the zoo. On the way out of the parking lot at Mike's work we saw a few people with Hannah Montana shirts. This sight made me feel even better about deciding to go tonight. You see it was the Hannah Montana concert. The zoo would not be that busy. So after getting to the zoo and parking. We made the trek in. The zoo has redone alot lately and it is so far in from the parking lot (even from the handicap spots). So after getting through the gates we headed toward the aquarium. Jack E. went with us and he had not been to the zoo in a long time. That mean he had to see the things I thought were important. I had a plan. It went like this. First aquarium, next manatees, then head toward the food court. After a quick bite we head to the apes (these are mom's fav) but the ape house was closed. So after making the ape circle, we headed for the kimono dragons. Then to see the kola and the nocturnal animals (these two were kids favorites). I do have to say there were some very interesting glider that were very fun to watch, right mom. So after that Mom insisted we see the elephants but we just could not make it. We were all really tired. Jackson kept asking to go home. So we made the trek back to the car. Boy were we all happy to be back in the car and heading home. Everyone had a great time and really had fun as a family. I did not forget Mom, we are going back the summer to see the elephants.
