Phase Two

Phase two started on Tuesday morning with Maddi waking everyone up by slapping two shoes together. All I heard was Santa was here, slap, slap, slap. It took me a bit longer to get up. I was really dragging that morning. But I made it to the couch with the camera. Mike sat on the ground and passed out the presents. So after making it through all the presents we ate cinnamon rolls and knew we needed to get a jump on the day. We still had places to be and people to see.

So our next stop was Aunt Brookie and Uncle Mikey's house. It was a bit busy because Brooke was having Christmas with her family. The kids got to see all of Mallory's surprises from Santa. There was alot. Are you sure you don't want to make the office into a playroom? lol. Brookie and Mikey got the the kids TV tables, coloring books, and totes to carry everything. Jackson also got a snugly camo outfit and Maddi also got two bags of pretzels (her fav). I have to say we did not stay long because dinner was ready at my dad's. This is a great time to say Thank You Brooke and Mike for just being great friends. Thank You for everything you have done for my family and most of all Thank You for giving us Mallory. All of you are a blessing from God. We truly love you all so much.

The last stop for this adventure was my dad and Elaine's house. We ate a wonderful ham dinner with all the fixings. It was a really good ham. After dinner the kids just could not wait for presents. I have to say that every year we hear that Christmas will not be big this year. But the presents this year spilled out from around the tree. It is such a great time. The kids got so much stuff it is hard to think of it all now. But it was wonderful. I do have a few more things to tell you all. Maddi is fighting me over my Christmas present from Kimmy. It is the softest green blanket like a baby blanket. Maddi just could not wait to use it. Also Thanks Ray and Melissa for the wonderful peanut butter fudge. I am making myself sick on it.

This phase too is complete. It was a delightful Christmas and can't thank everyone enough.

Here is a funny Jackson quote: My mom gave the kids bird feeders and a squirrel feeder. We asked if he knew what it was and he did not. We said it a squirrel feed and Jackson said "so we can shoot them". He is so his father's child.
